Maui Pt. 3: Luau Love

Aloha! Welcome back to my Maui blog series!

What was next on our Maui trip? Well obviously you cannot go to Hawaii and not go to a traditional Hawaiian Luau. Better yet - it was both mine and my fiancé's birthday, so it was a great way to celebrate on top of already being in one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to.

After an amazing meal, we watched as the dancers played out the story of Moana (which is my new obsession! Raise your hand if you've seen the movie already! I am BEYOND obsessed - let me know down below if you've seen it and what your favorite part was!) and we had great night spending time with family and enjoying a great show.

The course of the show lasted through a beautiful sunset and into the night, packed full of traditional Hawaiian dance, fire twirlers, coconut shucking and more and it was a blast to see. I had gone to a luau on my trip to Hawaii about 6 years ago, but it was so fun to see my Fiancé enjoy the experience for the first time.

I'm always amazed by the talent on stage and how these luaus keep Hawaii traditions alive, which is always a really cool thing to see. I love seeing a glimpse into the Polynesian culture and I would 100% recommend going to see a Luau if your on one of the Hawaiian islands - Especially if you have never been before! Also be sure to check out our Jennifer Nicole Collection instagram page because I'll be sharing a ton of boomarang videos I shot from the performance!

Let me know in the comments below what your favorite part about Hawaiian Luaus are! Mine is the way they seamlessly tell a great story through dance and put together such a great show.

See you all next week for the next segment in our Maui series!

Have a great weekend,

-Jennifer Nicole
